BRULE COUNTY DISASTER MITIGATION PLAN UPDATE 

The Brule County Disaster Mitigation Planning Team has just completed updating the County's disaster mitigation plan. The plan includes a profile and risk assessment of the various natural hazards that affect the county, such as blizzards, tornadoes, flooding, and droughts, and presents a disaster mitigation strategy designed to lessen the impacts of the hazards. The plan is available for public review on the Brule County website and at the Brule County Emergency Management Office. Comments and suggestions regarding the plan can be sent to the Brule County Emergency Management Office at brbufem@midstatesd.net or by calling 605 234-3433.

BURN BAN APPLICATION

Brule County has a burn ban in place, if a Burn Plan is filed with the Emergency Manager, some burning is being allowed. Please contact Katheryn Benton at 605-234-3433. The Burn Ban Application is below. Print, fill out and drop off or mail to her office for approval.
